There are three times in the year that for some reason, I really have fun with in the shop; Christmas, Mad about Wool and Plaid in October and 4th of July. Christmas – for what it represents to me and the joy it brings so many people, Mad about Wool and Plaid because I rejoice when the weather begins to cool, the leaves start to change color and for my love of coats, sweaters, hats, plaid, layers and beautiful classic clothes and 4th of July for all the combinations one can make with three colors!… plus it does represent a pretty important time in our country’s history. So many people have fought and sacrificed for ‘We, the People’ and this is our day to remember and celebrate that belief.
I thought I had a lot of festive options last year but, oh man, I have even more this year! So thankful for my photographer partner in crime… Mike of http://totallycaptivating and his lovely wife Patricia who loves to play dress-up in all kinds of vintage clothes, even roller skates. I received these images on Saturday night and after posting a few on Facebook, many of the pieces found their new homes. If you are still in need of fun, colorful pieces, our shop has you covered. Our shop will be open regular hours this week, 11-6. Friday is Art Walk and we will attempt to stay open late. Just depends on the temperature because after 6pm, our shop gets a little warm during the high temps. Saturday the 4th, we will be open 11-4. Have friends and family in town or just looking for something fun to do before the big firework show? Come on by, we would love to see you and meet your company.
Happy Independence Day!
