Silent Auction 11-15-15

cover-3Many of you know that I have been collecting vintage pieces for years and quite the collection it has become. I like to call it my ‘vault.’ With our five year business anniversary quickly approaching, I thought it would be fun to add a silent auction of these five dresses and one headpiece to our celebration.
Here’s how it works…..
Pictures of the five dresses, along with measurements will be posted below. If there is a dress you are interested in seeing and/or trying on for potential bidding, you can stop by the shop this week – Wednesday through Saturday 11-6. For those who are unable to attend the celebration event on Sunday, you are welcome to place an early ‘silent’ bid on-line through this site, e-mail info@mosteverything.us , through Facebook or fill out a ‘bid’ slip in the shop. Each piece will go to the highest bidder after all slips have been processed on Monday. Final winner of each will be contacted for pick up and purchase. Pieces can also be shipped for those who don’t live in the area.

#1 – 1930’s full length blue lace dress with slip and jacket.

This dress is gorgeous! Have to say, really hard for me to part with. Incredible condition for being 80+ years old. This dress has had some incredible adventures while in my keep. First made its appearance in our ‘Escape’ shoot on the lovely Miss Suzy. Fabulous photos by Mark Daniel Muzzy, Hair by Ashley Rauch and make-up by Sarah Adams. Second shoot it was worn by the beautiful Jessica. Photo by Leslie Carpenter of May Faith Photography and make-up/hair by Cedar Lapp-Ngauamo. Third shoot was by Alain of Oblique Foto for Shelly Beauchaine during Couve Couure ’15 runway show – Modeled by Katie, hair by Red Chair Salon and make up by Erin Toft and Emily Anzalone.
Measurements: Bust 32 in., Waist 30in.
Starting Bid $65

#2 – Antique White ‘Eva Gabor look by Estevez’ full-length gown

What a simple yet glamorous evening gown. It just floats perfectly. This beauty has had many stories. I have professional photos for two. In the other three, it helped play the part of Princess Leah at Dancing with the Local Stars, a brides dress for an outdoor winter wedding and as a bridesmaid dress. The photos I have are from a ‘Frankenstein’ shoot by May Faith Photography which was actually published by a Portland Magazine and also for a late 30’s shoot at the Historic Kiggins Theatre. Anni Becker did a great job capturing Miss Shelby Meader who is Miss Clark County and will be running for Miss Washington within the next few months.
Measurements: Waist 30 in.
Starting Bid $50

#3 – Late 50’s Black Velvet wiggle dress with pearl accents
#4 – Fascinator (locally made head piece by Babette’s Hatworks) with hat box

This dress was absolutely perfect for our ‘Little Black Dress’ Photo shoot. Designed for someone with an hourglass figure. Miss Faye brought so much beauty to this dress. To add to the overall ‘look’ giving it more of a 1940’s feel, Local milliner, Barbara Creager of Babette’s Hatworks created a special fascinator headpiece for this dress that will also be auctioned off. Photos taken by Totally Captivating and make-up/hair by Madeline Qi.
Dress Measurements: waist 25 in., hips 34 in.
Dress Starting bid $55
Fascinator Starting bid $50

#5 – Lillie Ruben full length sequin gown

Now this dress is classic and oh-so-stunning! The slit in the front is just the right height sure to turn heads. If you love your legs, this dress may be just perfect for you. Lillie Ruben was a designer of elegant, high fashion and high quality evening garments from the 40’s to 80’s. This particular sequin evening dress is from the late 60’s and in excellent condition. Modeled by the lovely Faye. Photos taken by Totally Captivating and make-up/hair by Madeline Qi.
Measurements: waist 27 in. hips 36 in.

Want to walk in a room and be noticed? This is the dress! A beautiful Late-70’s, fitted silhouette gown with a mermaid-esque skirt shape. Extensive sequin work throughout. All the flash and glamour of a red carpet dress! Great shape for its age! Special thanks to model Patricia and photographer Mike Helms of Totally Captivating.
