If you have been in the shop within the last year there is a good chance I shared with you my next business endeavor. Thrilled to announce the ‘Soft Opening’ of
The Valiant Ballroom & Common Place
My favorite childhood book series was The Chronicles of Narnia by C.S. Lewis. I love the idea of a hidden and magical world where anything is a possibility. My hope is that in this tranquil space there will be celebrations of unity, birth and life, swinging and swaying to music, discovery of inspirational artists, learning from the past for our future, hearing a song for the first time and most importantly, a place for our community to gather, support and create.
Built in 1910 with brick walls and original 1960’s Fred Astaire Ballroom wooden floors. Located on the back side of my shop, Most Everything Vintage. When I first walked into this space 11 years ago I wanted it. Oh, the possibilities! Now that I have it, it’s time to turn the possibilities into realities. The space will be done in three phases. First phase ready for our first event Valentines weekend where the ballroom floors will once again be danced on.
We have an incredible weekend planned for you as we
celebrate love in the 40’s and 50’s.
Saturday February 12, 7-9pm with local group The Juleps.
Sunday February 13th, 6-8pm with the Ne Plus Ultra Jass 4-piece ‘Ensemble Gitane’ with all kinds of great Jazz
To add to our evening, we will have the option of dance instruction from local dancers Ryan & Haddi. Arrive an hour early (Saturday at 6pm and Sunday at 5pm) for 30 minute group instruction and practice time. Cost is $5 (cash only) per person at the door.
Tickets available (only 44 per night) on our official website The Valiant Ballroom & Common Place or you can purchase them at Most Everything Vintage. $26 each
Since we are still in Covid world, masks are required for the event, must show proof of vaccination or proof of a negative test with 48-hours.
As we open up phase one of the ballroom, we are so excited to share this space with you! Hopeful completion date May 1st.
