Good news! Our Spider Queen from last years window found a mate just in time for our annual Halloween Window Display contest. Had fun with this one bringing out my Blacklights for a glowing effect. learned that making spider legs out old metal hangers and black faux fur is a messy job. Several years ago we had done a blacklight photo shoot. Had some leftover make-up paint so decided to paint green streaks onto our Queens hair.
Voting goes through November 2nd. We have won two of the last three competitions and with more businesses competing I need your help with votes. You can either scan the QR code on the poster in this post or you can click on the link http://vdausa.org/storefrontcontest
My camera has a hard time photographing the ‘glow.’ So, if you get a chance, grab a friend, make a date and come down to check out our downtown during the evening. Our block has gotten busier with the addition of Woodys Tacos (best fish tacos ever!!!) and The Sedgwick – small plate foods. If I could have licked the plate I would have. Flavors and presentation are stunning.
In the spirit of Halloween I took some of my creepy crawly critters and turned them into earrings. Just $15 pair.
We are almost back to our regular hours. Sunday and Monday 12-4, Tuesday-Saturday 11-5. If you are in the area stop by and say hello.
