Edwardian Shoot – Behind the Scenes

IMG_0606_2

Here are a few pictures I took during our Edwardian Shoot this last Sunday. My first business was Stonefield Photography and Studio many, many years ago. Always fun to be able to pull out the camera and get some close-up shots for our hair and make-up team. Of all the pictures I took, the above is my favorite from the shoot. Looks like a painting. Nice to know I can still take a good picture!
This shoot was extra special with the addition of true Edwardian period jewelry from Mackensie’s Treasures. Thank you Molly Lance!
Very rare to have possession of six, true-to-the-period dresses in my vintage shop, Most Everything. Knowing that, I created a terrific team to capture these lovely pieces before they find new owners. Our models, Cole Lee Christensenand Haleigh Wilson wore these dresses with ease, beauty, elegance and grace. Shoot was held at The Providence Historical Academy just up the street from our shop. The brick and ivy from the 1800’s building made for the perfect background. Met early to avoid the heat and direct sun. I got so caught-up in the fun that I didn’t realize my fair skin was getting its first date with Mr. Sun. My burn lines are quite funny as I was wearing a thick bracelet on each wrist and a roll of tape on my forearm.
Couldn’t do this without our coiffeur and beauty experts! Kristen Johnson of Kristen Johnson Makeup Artistry did a beautiful job on hair while also providing her floral crowns and hair pins for the shoot. There were three sets to this shoot and she changes the hair for every portion. Her work is stunning! Madeline Qi did a fantastic job on creating a make-up ‘look’ that was soft and romantic for both ladies. The camera loves her work!
And for my ‘hold-this’, ‘go get….’ assistants, Patricia Helms was our photo assistant and Elizabeth Gabriel was my personal assistant. It’s these behind the scenes people that help everything go smooth. Thank you!
These are just the beginning of images to get you excited for the professional ones to come by the very talented Mike Helms of totallycaptivating.com
With every shoot I choreograph, I am completely honored to be surrounded by such talent and support.
